At the mining trade fair Exponor from 13th to 17th of june, held every two years in Antofagasta (located in northern Chile), approx. 800 exhibitors from 20 countries introduced their new products. Due to higher exhibitor and visitor numbers, it took place in a new and bigger venue this time.
The region of Antofagasta is an important mining area in Chile: 54% of the copper, 37% of the Molybdenum, 31% of the gold and 56% of the silver production of the country is located there. The most important mines of the world’s biggest copper producer are found in the region of Antofagasta: Chuquicamata, Radomiro Tomic and Escondida.

Putzmeister Solid Pumps was represented by its agent Lanz Tecnomaster. Important mining companies from Chile and even Bolivia were among our visitors.
Thanks to poster advertising and personal discussions, the applications and advantages of PSP high density solids pumps were well explained.
