This year, 620 international exhibitors (485 in 2010) and 21.000 visitors came to the 18th Ugol Rossii & mining trade fair, held in the Russian Kuzbass region (7th to 10th of june). The annual mining trade fair took place in Novokuznetsk in an outdoor exhibition area, located in the central square of the city. Putzmeister Solid Pumps GmbH were present with a 12 m² booth.
In the past, mainly visitors from the Kuzbass region came to the trade fair but in 2011, there was a significant increase of visitors from southern Russia, the Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. This shows that, besides coal, applications in the fields of ore is an important topic for exhibitors.

The main topic of interest at Putzmeister Solid Pumps’ booth was the incineration of coal sludge. Moreover, enquiries were received for general plant engineering, tunnel linings with the Elefantino in coal mining, backfilling of coal mines, sludge pump on crawler chassis, extinction of coal fires and conveying coal in underground mining.
